“Ice Cream Castles” takes its name and inspiration from Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now, where clouds become a metaphor for the changing ways we experience life. Moving from dusk to dawn, the piano is meant to be seen from both sides, echoing the song’s reflection on how our understanding of the world shifts over time.
