ABOUT THE ARTIST
Christine Claringbold of Eye Pop Art makes psychedelic artwork and dopamine decor to brighten your life. She loves doing custom work like murals, guitars and pianos! Her house, featured on HGTV and the Portland Weird Homes Tour, is a groovy color explosion available for you to book on Peerspace. Eye Pop Art items, handmade from recycled vinyl records, can be found on Etsy and in the Crafty Wonderland stores. Christine is also a mom, a poet, a backup singer in local punk band Dartgun and the Vignettes, and a co-founder of the nonprofit Dana Thompson Memorial Fund of Awesome, which provides culturally specific rock music education to elementary school children in North Portland. She loves to travel, play chess, and hang out with her kitties Daisy Paisley and Bungalow Joe.

ABOUT THE PIANO
I wanted to create a wildly colorful piece of art to reflect the joy of music and the surprise of seeing a piano in the wild. I hope people will say "WOW" when they see it, and to be irresistibly drawn to sit down and play, or to gather around and listen. This piano is all about good vibes. Special thanks to my soulmate Chuck for feeding me and keeping everything going while I was immersed in this project, and for painting the bench and music stand!
