We rescue pianos and put them on the street for everybody to enjoy. We want to give pianists more opportunities to play for the public.

Wwe’ve been calling our piano the Ten Man Band while we’ve been working on it.  Our firm primarily design K-12 schools so we wanted to bring something fun that will hopefully inspire kiddos (young and old!) to get in on the musical fun this summer – even if they haven’t had a chance to be formally trained yet!

"We at DOWA-IBI Group are a diverse group brought together by our deep passion for educational architecture. Not coincidentally, we also like to have fun, both inside and outside the office. For us, that means every day reminding each other that our goal is to create learning spaces that help students thrive; that is what truly motivates us and makes work worthwhile. "

Namesake Musician: Vivian Fine

"Over her 70 year career, Vivian Fine became one of America’s most important composers. She wrote virtually without a break for 68 years, producing over 140 works. Although perhaps best known for her chamber music, she wrote in every genre, including large-scale symphonic and choral works" - http://www.vivianfine.org/main/biography.htm
