"YALP EM" — by designers: SERA Architects (Greg Carlson, Andrea de la Vega, Artur Grochowski, and Nicole Holt)
We rescue pianos and put them on the street for everybody to enjoy. We want to give pianists more opportunities to play for the public.
Inspired by the bold and playful typography of the kid’s classic Schoolhouse Rock, SERA Architect’s “YALP EM” piano presents an unmistakable message at the heart of Piano.Push.Play. The bright, oversized letters encourage even the most novice pianist to take a seat and express themselves!
As a three-year participant in the program, SERA works every day to bridge community and create equity in its projects. This year’s Piano.Push.Play. volunteer designers and builders include Greg Carlson, Andrea de la Vega, Artur Grochowski and Nicole Holt.
ABOUT PIANO! PUSH PLAY!
We rescue pianos, put them on the street for everyone to enjoy, and then give them to schools, community centers, artists, and others who will love them as much as we do.
