We rescue pianos and put them on the street for everybody to enjoy. We want to give pianists more opportunities to play for the public.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

This piece is a simple homage to the joy I feel at the start of a piano piece, that moment when the first note is played. Growing up, my father would compose piano music to battle his insomnia (and other demons), so experimental melodies became the soundtrack of my childhood dreams. The piano bug skipped a generation when I opted for the canvas and the stage instead of the keyboard, but piano made its way back into my life when my son caught the bug and started composing at the age of 12. Twelve years later he is still going strong.  For me, piano music has always equaled a feeling of deep comfort and joy.
