We rescue pianos and put them on the street for everybody to enjoy. We want to give pianists more opportunities to play for the public.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I wanted this piano to be very bold. The gold chrome against the matte white pops! Each shape was painstakingly xacto'd out one by one, no rules, no pencil. Spray paint was used for the white and gold. These Mark's have shaped the way I create any piece of art the last few years so I thought to use the same process on my piano!

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

My name is Chet Malinow. Born and raised in Portland, OR. Abstract in nature, my art consists or calligraphic compositions. I attempt to make my art very accessible to the viewer, whether it be a large scale mural in a public area or showing my paintings around the city in different galleries. The use of spray paint and industrial materials tie back to my roots of being a street artist.
