Our Pianos: Bach

Currently off the grid.

This piano was decorated by Ryan Bubnis, a multidisciplinary illustrator, artist and educator. His work explores themes of memory, nostalgia, good vibes, and the human condition. Bubnis has collaborated with a number of commercial clients and agencies and his work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the U.S. and abroad. He is currently an Assistant Professor at The Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon.

Keeping in line with the Piano Push Play project I wanted to emphasize the concepts of accessibility, fun and play. I hope that the bold graphic imagery captures the public’s attention and invites them to investigate and participate with the project. When you share art and music everyone wins.
— Ryan Bubnis

This piano is sponsored by the Portland Piano Company. They help us find pianos and have been supporting the project from the very beginning.

Photos around town

We rescue pianos, put them on the street for everyone to enjoy, and then give them to schools, community centers, artists, and others who will love them as much as we do.
